Miguel Antonio Romero, 46

Miguel Romero, a 46-year-old Latino, was shot and killed Tuesday, April 28 in the 9800 block of East Avenue West 8 in Southeast Antelope Valley, according to law enforcement.

Shortly after 8 p.m., Romero's wife found him sitting in a black truck with a gunshot wound, according to a news release from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

Romero was delivering corn in the area and was late to return home, authorities said. Romero’s wife found him after she went out to search for him.

Romero was pronounced dead at the scene.
