Mihoko Koike Parsa, 38

Mihoko Koike Parsa, a 38-year-old Japanese woman, was discovered shot to death Sunday, April 14, in the 9100 block of Foster Lane in Chatsworth, according to Los Angeles County medical examiner-coroner’s records.

About 4:30 p.m., officers responded to a call of an assault with a deadly weapon with shots fired, entered a home and found a man and a woman, later identified as Parsa and her 46-year-old husband, dead with gunshot wounds in an upstairs bedroom, according to a news release from the Los Angeles Police Department.

Detectives discovered that the husband shot Parsa as she lay in bed, then shot himself.

The two young children the couple had in common were not injured and were taken to a hospital for observation, police said.
