Millyon Colquitt, 16

Millyon Colquitt, a 16-year-old Black teenager, was shot and killed Thursday, Oct. 15, near East 122nd Street and Maple Avenue in Willowbrook, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner's records.

About 11 p.m., five teenagers were in a car when an assailant approached and began shooting, authorities said

The car slammed into a vehicle parked at the intersection of Maple Avenue and East 124th Street. Deputies who responded found Colquitt and another teenager, Jamelle Edward Hill Jr., 17, dead at the scene. 

Three teens in the back were unharmed, authorities said.

“The car appears to have been shot several times,” said Sheriff’s Lt. Brandon Dean, and “both decedents appear to have been shot several times in the upper torso.”

Colquitt was an 11th-grader at Centennial High School, family members said.
