Olga Martinez, 33 [Updated]
Olga Martinez, a 33-year-old Latina, was stabbed to death Saturday, May 1, in the 11000 block of Glenoaks Boulevard in Pacoima, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.
Ed Winter, spokesman for the coroner's office, said Martinez was found by a neighbor in a garage about 6:44 a.m. She had been stabbed in the neck, chest and back.
Authorities were called, and Martinez was pronounced dead at the scene, Winter said.
[Update May 4: Det. Joshua Byers, who is handling the investigation, said it was unclear as to when Martinez was stabbed or who her assailant was. ]
[Update May 6: LAPD officials on Tuesday, May 4, identified Martinez's estranged husband, Napoleon Eduardo Castro, a 34-year-old Latino, as the main suspect in her killing and issued a warrant for his arrest.
Authorities described him as having brown hair and brown eyes. He stands 5 feet 5 and weighs 175 pounds. He is considered armed and dangerous, police said.
