Olympia Riley, 51

Olympia Riley, a 51-year-old black woman, was found dead Saturday, April 14, in the 1400 block of Walnut Avenue in Long Beach, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.

Officers from the Long Beach Police Department were called to an apartment about 3 a.m. to assist the fire department with an “unresponsive” woman, according to a news release from the department. Coroner’s records show that a friend called police.

Officers “observed suspicious circumstances” and saw that the woman had been stabbed in the lower part of her body, police said.

Riley was pronounced dead at the scene at 3:15 a.m., according to coroner’s records.
