A story for every victim

Oscar Ruben Iraheta, 25

Oscar Ruben Iraheta, a 25-year-old Latino man, was found dead Thursday, March 6, in the 11000 block of Dora Street in Sun Valley, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.

Iraheta was found dead by his mother in the living room with alcohol and medications surrounding him, said Ed Winter, a spokesman with the coroner’s office.

Initially, authorities thought Iraheta's death could be a suicide but later determined that he was a victim of foul play, said LAPD Det. Anthony Stephenson.

Iraheta was pronounced dead at 9:48 p.m. at the home, Winter said.

An autopsy showed that Iraheta died of multiple stab wounds, and the coroner ruled his death a homicide, Winter said.
