Paul James, 40
Paul James, a 40-year-old black man, was shot and killed Thursday, Oct. 11, in the 9600 block of Hoover Street in Vermont Vista, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.
Authorities say James was found with multiple gunshot wounds about 8:40 p.m.
The victim was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 9:35 p.m.
Authorities believe the incident may have been a walk-up shooting.
