Phyllis McClinton, a 25-year-old black woman, was found dumped in a vacant lot in South Los Angeles on Nov. 4, 1980.
Authorities did not provide an address or additional information about this incident.
They did describe her death as among the slayings believed to be connected to an unidentified serial killer active in the South L.A. area.
