Rafael Martin Soto Aguilar, 52
Rafael Martin Soto Aguilar, a 52-year-old Latino, was shot and killed Tuesday, Jan. 27 in the 300 block of East Villa Street in Pasadena, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.
About 10:20 p.m., a shooting was reported at Villa Parke. When officers arrived, they found Soto Aguilar with gunshot wounds.
He was pronounced dead at the park at 10:47 p.m., according to coroner’s records.
About two hours later and miles away, a Latino in his 30s walked into a hospital claiming to have been shot in Villa Park. The second man was rushed into surgery but is expected to survive.
The park was closed overnight.
