Rafael Rodriguez, 34

Rafael Rodriguez, a 34-year-old Latino man, was stabbed during a fight at 8722 Fontana St. in Downey on Thursday, Feb. 14. He was taken to Downey Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead the following day at 5:20 a.m.

According to authorities, officers from the Downey Police Department responded to a report of a patient with stab wounds at the hospital. Officers then learned that the patient, Rodriguez, had been stabbed multiple times during a fight.

Shortly after midnight on Feb. 16 homicide detectives arrested two Latino brothers: Brian Olguin, 31, and Jon Olguin, 33, on suspicion of murder. It was unclear what the men were fighting about, said police assistant Alicia Perez.
