Ramon Andrade, 41

Ramon Andrade, a 41-year-old Latino, was shot and killed Monday, Oct. 15, near West 21st Street and South Manhattan Place in Harvard Heights, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.

About 11:30 p.m., police responded to a call of shooting in the area, according to a news release from the Los Angeles Police Department. When officers arrived, they were flagged down by people in the area who directed police to Andrade’s body.

Andrade was pronounced dead at 11:50 p.m. at the scene, according to coroner’s records.

Police believe that Andrade was standing alone in the area when a light-colored sedan drove up, police said.

It is unknown whether a person got out of the vehicle, but a light-colored sedan was seen leaving the area at the time of the shooting.
