Randall Scott Kreeger, 49

Randall Scott Kreeger, a 49-year-old white man, was found dead Monday, Nov. 25, in the 1600 block of Garfield Place in Hollywood, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.

After Kreeger didn’t show up to a social event, his friends went to his house and found blood and some furniture out of place, according to a news release from the Los Angeles Police Department.

Kreeger hadn’t been seen since the day before. After friends reported the man missing, police tracked down Kreeger’s car in Hollywood and detained the people inside.

Police determined that Kreeger was robbed and killed at his home in the 3300 block of James M. Wood Boulevard in Koreatown and that his body was then dumped in a trash bin.

According to coroner’s records, Kreeger was found inside a suitcase that was wrapped in plastic. He was pronounced dead at 9:20 a.m., according to coroner’s records.

Merdan Haydarov, 19, was arrested Nov. 25. He was charged with one count of murder two days later, according to the L.A. County district attorney’s office.

An arraignment has been continued to Dec. 18. Haydarov is being held without bail on an immigration hold, according to online Sheriff’s Department records.
