Raul Sanchez Jr., a 21-year-old Latino, was shot and killed Saturday, Sept. 6, in the 5300 block of Valley Boulevard in El Sereno, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.
About 12:20 a.m., Sanchez and a woman were standing in front of a building when a light-colored midsize sedan pulled up, said LAPD Det. Jose Ramirez.
The right front passenger asked Sanchez what gang he was from and then shot at him multiple times, Ramirez said.
The car fled eastbound on Valley Boulevard. Sanchez was pronounced dead at the scene at 12:30 a.m., said Ed Winter, assistant chief of investigations.
