Reginald Davis, 57

Reginald Davis, a 57-year-old black man, was shot and killed Sunday, Oct. 13, in the 6000 block of Linden Avenue in Long Beach, according to Los Angeles County medical examiner-coroner’s records.

About 7:15 p.m., officers from the Long Beach Police Department responded to a call of a shooting and found Davis inside an apartment with a gunshot wound to the chest, according to coroner’s records and a news release from the Long Beach Police Department.

Davis was pronounced dead at the scene at 7:30 p.m., according to coroner’s records. 

Investigators believe that an “unknown number of people” left the area right after the shooting and may have information that would prove useful in the investigation.
