Rene Lopez, 40
Rene Lopez, a 40-year-old Latino, was found dead Tuesday, Nov. 1, in the 3500 block of Emery Street in Boyle Heights, according to police and Los Angeles County coroner’s records.
About 8 a.m., a person who works in the area saw a man who looked unresponsive inside a van, said Los Angeles Police Det. Jose Ramirez. The person called the authorities, and paramedics arrived and pronounced Lopez dead at the scene.
Police believe that Lopez was shot at another location, then driven to the industrial area where he was found. Detectives are trying to determine where Lopez was shot.
