Rhasson Eugene Hamilton, 28

Rhasson Eugene Hamilton, a 28-year-old black man, was shot and killed Saturday, Oct. 4, near South Halldale Avenue and West 84th Street in Manchester Square, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.

About 9 p.m., Hamilton was at a family gathering when he went outside and was shot near a parked vehicle, said Det. Sal LaBarbera of the Los Angeles Police Department.

Police believe that at least two people walked up to Hamilton and fired several gunshots.

Hamilton was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 10:05 p.m., said Ed Winter, assistant chief of investigations for the coroner’s office.
