Ricardo Ernesto Monterrosa, 31

Ricardo Monterrosa, a 31-year-old Latino, was shot to death Friday, Sept. 30, in the 8500 block of South Broadway in Broadway-Manchester, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.

Monterrosa walked out of a thrift store, taking a break from work, when a Latino walked up and shot at him multiple times, said Los Angeles police Det. Chris Barling. The shooter ran to a dark-colored sedan and fled northbound on South Broadway, Barling said.

Monterrosa was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead at 10:04 p.m., according to coroner’s records.

The suspect has been described as in his 20s and wearing a hooded sweatshirt.
