Ricardo Orozco, 27

Ricardo Orozco, a 27-year-old Latino, was fatally shot Tuesday, April 3, in the 400 block of South Gless Street in Boyle Heights, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

Officers responded to a call regarding a shooting at the Pico Gardens Housing Development about 10 p.m., according to an LAPD news release.

When authorities arrived, they learned two shooting victims, including Orozco, had been taken to the hospital in private vehicles.

Orozco was pronounced dead when he arrived at the medical center. Coroner's records show he died from several gunshot wounds to his body.

The second victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was listed in stable condition, police said.

Investigators believe the shooting was gang-related.
