Richard Broussard, a 20-year-old black man, was killed in an alleged gang-related shooting at 130 W. 110th St. about 12:40 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 26. According to South Bureau homicide detectives, officers with LAPD's Southeast Division were patrolling the area when they saw a group of men standing in the middle of the street. As officers were about to approach the group, a gunman opened fire. Broussard was hit and was later taken to a hospital, where he died the next day at 1:20 a.m.

Shortly after the shooting, officers arrested John Buckner, 20, who was seen running from the group with a gun, detectives said. A 16-year-old also was arrested in connection with the slaying. Anyone with information is asked to call (213) 485-4341.
