He was my cousin who was loved by many. He has a daughter who never met her father because someone made a mistake and shot him with no warning. The cowards didn't ask him where he was from because he was not a gang member but it is a problem in our communities where a young man can be taking away just like that. I pray that my family can finally heal from there pain. Its been 10 years and still no closure but my cousin didn't die for nothing because I share my pain with younger men and tell them violence is not the answer and gang banging is senseless. The media pumps these kids up for failure and says it is cool packing a gun getting high and live with a hardened heart with no compassion for life.but I tell people my pain and love my neighbors as myself. I get inspired when kids and young men say if it wasn't for you I would be gangbanging. So I know why God wanted you close to him Rick because you truly were an Angel on earth. I love you and will continue to do God's work here on earth guiding his lost sheep until we meet again
