Richard Esquire Lewis, 43

Richard Lewis, a 43-year-old black man, was fatally shot Friday, Aug. 26, near East 87th and Wall streets in Broadway-Manchester, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

The shooting took place about 1 a.m., Los Angeles police spokesman Richard French said.

Lewis was found lying on a curb with multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

A male suspect was seen leaving the area in a four-door silver Nissan, French said. No other information was given.
