Rigoberto Carlos Gutierrez, 32

Rigoberto Carlos Gutierrez, a 32-year-old Latino, was shot and killed Tuesday, April 15, near South Union Avenue and West 18th Street in Pico-Union, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.

Gutierrez was walking along the street about 2:45 p.m. when two male Latinos approached and shot him multiple times, said Los Angeles Police Det. John Motto.

The attackers then ran north on South Union Avenue, Motto said.

Gutierrez was pronounced dead at 2:56 p.m. at the scene, according to coroner’s records.

Motto said detectives are having trouble tracking down people who knew Gutierrez.

“There’s no solid witnesses who have come forward,” he said.
