Robert James Hart, 24

Robert James Hart, a 24-year-old black man, was shot and killed Tuesday, March 18, in the 1700 block of North Graham Avenue in Compton, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.

According to witnesses, Heart was standing in front of a home when he was shot. Hart was taken to a backyard until deputies arrived shortly before 11 p.m., according to a news release from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

Hart was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead at 11:28 p.m., said Ed Winter, a coroner’s spokesman.
