Roberto Carlos Urbina, 38

Robert Carlos Urbina, a 38-year-old Latino, was shot and killed Monday, Aug. 7, in the 2000 block of East 8th Street in downtown Los Angeles, according to L.A. County coroner’s records.

Shortly before 8 p.m., officers responded to the area and found Urbina wounded by gunfire, said Los Angeles Police Officer Mike Lopez.

Urbina was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 9:20 p.m.

Police said the gunman fled on a bicycle; they are unsure of the motive.
