Roberto Cisneros, 28

Roberto Cisneros, a 28-year-old Latino, was shot and killed Monday, May 22, in the 2400 block of South Trinity Street in Historic-South Central, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.

About 2:30 a.m., Cisneros was at a park in the area when he was approached by a person who shot him, said Los Angeles Police Det. Dan Gersna.

Cisneros was pronounced dead at the scene at 2:52 a.m., according to coroner’s records.

Cisneros used to live in the area and frequented the park, Gersna said. It’s unknown if there were one or more people involved in the shooting.

Gersna declined to comment on any motive.
