Roberto Lombera, 34

Roberto Lombera, a 34-year-old Latino, was fatally wounded on Sunday, June 2, in the 16000 block of Woodruff Avenue in Bellflower, according to L.A. County coroner’s records.

Witnesses told L.A. County sheriff’s deputies that at 9 p.m., Lombera was sitting in his vehicle in a Big Saver parking lot talking to a man, when the conversation escalated into an argument. The other man then shot Lombera once in the upper torso, according to the Sheriff’s Department.

Lombera attempted to drive off but struck the sidewalk on Woodruff Avenue. He was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 9:54 p.m., coroner’s records show.

The gunman drove away in his vehicle. He is described as a Latino with dark hair. He is believed to be between 5 feet 9 and 6 feet and in his early 20s, according to the department.
