Roberto Rodriguez, 28

Roberto Rodriguez, a 28-year-old Latino, was shot and killed Wednesday July 6, in the 13000 block of Goleta Street in Pacoima, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

Officers responded to a radio call about 4 p.m. and found Rodriguez shot several times, according to an LAPD news release.

He was taken to a hospital for treatment, but later died, officials said. Coroner's records show that the victim was shot multiple times in the chest.

During the investigation, detectives learned from witnesses that Rodriguez was with a group of friends when several unknown people came up on bicycles. A man, described as a Latino between the ages of 15 to 20, got into an altercation with Rodriguez then shot him.

After the shooting, the assailant fled on foot, police said.

Officials believe the incident was gang-related. No arrests have been made in connection with the case.
