Robin Lavigne, 25, a black woman, was killed by a shotgun blast to the head at 3240 Chapman St. in Glassell Park and died at 12:43 a.m. Saturday, March 17.

Neighbors called police about a shooting; officers found Lavigne dead of an apparent gunshot wound. They arrested her boyfriend, 26-year-old Herbert Taylor, at the scene.

My mother died when I was 12 years old. She wasn't murdered but I believe the pain is the same. No one loves us as much as our mothers do. No one will sit there and fight for us like a mother will, no one will stand and cheer the loudest like a mother will. I know the feeling of not having a mother around. I recently turned 18 years old and it wasn't as big a deal as if my mother would have been there. But there are victories to come, obsticals to overcome and as you grow and mature you will see that these milstones are yours to keep and share with your mom in your heart. I hope you have found a person to cheer you on, to celebrate your milestones, to make you feel like you are all that matters. It is a difficult journey to make but it does get better, I have fallen, stubbled and have even failed...but I will not give up. Please don't give up either! Even when you feel like there is not one else in the world who can undertand remember I am here, struggling to make it. Good luck.

Happy b later birthday love!! You are 34 yrs old. I'm missing you like crazy. You have been joined by our big cousin Rashers LaVigne. Life out here is hard right now. I let some trashed out people allow me to get out of character and lost my job. I still got money flowing though but it's hard sitting still. I will give anything to see you again. Hear your voice your laugh. Feb 20th is never easy for me since you were murdered. March 17, 2007 you were taken, March 20th is moms birthday, October 2, 2009 she died. June 15th is Rasheed birthday and October 31, 2014 he died. All of y'all are gone to soon. I have so much to say to you. But I can't put it to words as of yet but I will real soon. I'd never thought I would be doing this. Please bare with me. I miss my family so much, starting from my grandmother, to my loving, caring, sweet, sister Audrey. I am so opposite from her. Never gave a blank about whatever. I wish it was me, instead of her. But, God was ready for her. Nadia, I can honestly say to you. I know what it's like to lose a sibling. I struggle every day. Moved out of the city, changed my number, ppl try to get close to me, or be too damn friendly, I hurry up and move ard. Just don't want to be bothered. I know our family haven't been keeping it together like my sister would want us to. I know I can be a BITCH at times. Please don't judge me. I'm still greaving. Robin, I know this was suppose to be about you, but I got off track. I love you and tell my sister." Hello my love:-) I haven't been on here in a while. As you may no by now tyanna isn't with me anymore. She basicly decided to see if the grass is greener on the other side. I know if you were here none of what happen with us would have went down. But nevertheless she is my niece and I ,love her dearly and always will. I am working as always. Antyon is raising Darrius in California, Faith is with Stacy in Florida, Lil Robin is in Huntsville with my stepmother, and Ta'Kelvin is with me. They are all doing well and are big! I miss you so much. I have a lot going for me right now. I'm in a happy place in my life.GOD is good. TVal and Christian are getting married in April on the 20th.
