Roger McDowell, 17, a black youth, was shot and killed in the 2000 block of S. Wadley Avenue near Helmick Street in Carson, and died at the scene at 9:11 p.m. Sept. 2. It was a drive-by shooting.
Roger was seen running: He was being chased by someone, another black youth. On Helmick Street, his pursuer started to shoot.
