Ronnie Haskin, 32

Ronnie Haskin, a 32-year-old black man, was fatally shot Saturday, May 12, in the 1700 block of West 35th Street in Exposition Park, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

Haskin was walking on the sidewalk with friends about 6 a.m. when a vehicle drove by and an occupant or occupants inside the vehicle began shooting at them, said Ed Winter, spokesman for the coroner's office.

Authorities were called and Haskin was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead less than 30 minutes later. According to coroner's records, Haskin died from a gunshot wound to the chest.

Winter had no other information about the case.
