Rosa Evelina Bran Enriquez, 44

Rosa Bran Enriquez, a 44-year-old Latina, was fatally shot during a carjacking Friday, Nov. 12, in the 8900 block of San Juan Avenue in South Gate, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

Enriquez was driving north on San Juan Avenue about 2:30 a.m. when the carjacking occurred, authorities said.

The suspects, believed to be a man and woman, got her to stop her Infiniti Q56, and then shot her and left her in the street as they drove away in the vehicle, officials said.

Paramedics took Enriquez to a hospital, where she later died due to complications from her injuries.

Photo: Scene of the carjacking. Credit: KTLAThe two assailants are believed to still be in possession of the gray 2005 Infiniti Q56 with the license plate 6MHC829. They were last seen heading north on San Juan Avenue and then east on Firestone Boulevard, officials said.
