Roy Anthony Sutherland, 48

Roy Anthony Sutherland, a 48-year-old black man, was stabbed several times and died Sunday, Aug. 2. Sutherland was stabbed in the 3500 block of South Western Avenue in Exposition Park.

A person walking by found Sutherland with several stab wounds and called police at 11:20 p.m. He was taken to a hospital where he died a short time later, according to the Los Angeles County coroner's office.

There are no suspects and no known motive. No witnesses have come forward, according to the LAPD.
