Ryan William Reese, 26
Ryan Reese, a 26-year-old white man, was shot and killed Friday, March 18, while allegedly robbing a McDonald's restaurant in the 7900 block of Foothill Boulevard in Sunland, according to authorities.
Reese, who Los Angeles police said was armed, was shot by a retired Burbank police officer.
Officer Greg Baek of the Los Angeles Police Department said the shooting occurred about 10:47 a.m. when Reese walked into the restaurant and attempted to rob the clerks at gunpoint.
The retired Burbank officer then fatally shot the robber, Baek said.
Los Angeles police detectives were investigating.
