Samuel Turner, an 18-year-old black man, was fatally shot Thursday, March 10, in the 7300 block of South Main Street in Florence, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.
Ed Winter, spokesman for the coroner's office, said Turner was the victim of a walk-up shooting.
He was shot several times about 4:55 p.m. and was taken to a hospital where he died at 6:38 p.m.
