Sharleyne Anne Conde, a 20-year-old Latina, was found dead Monday, Aug. 3, in the 700 block of South Hillview Avenue in East Los Angeles, according to Los Angeles County medical examiner-coroner's records.
At 11:32 a.m., deputies from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department responded to a home in the area and found Conde inside, fatally shot, according to a sheriff's news release.
A man later identified as Anthony McGeisey, a 23-year-old Latino, was detained at the scene, according to the department.
Investigators said McGeisey was Conde’s live-in boyfriend.
McGeisey has been charged with one count of murder, according to online court records.
