Sharon Lynn McDade, 50

Sharon McDade, a 50-year-old black woman, died Thursday, Nov. 3, in the 3200 block of West Adams Boulevard in Jefferson Park, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

McDade was killed during a domestic violence-related shooting, officials said.

The shooter turned himself in to police early Thursday morning after allegedly killing McDade. According to coroner’s records, the victim suffered several gunshot wounds.

The incident occurred about 3:30 a.m. in an apartment building, said Sgt. Boris Washington of the LAPD's Southwest station.

The assailant and victim had a romantic relationship, Washington said, but he was unsure whether they lived together.
