Shedrick Floyd Taylor, 51

Shedrick Taylor, a 51-year-old black man, was shot and killed Saturday, Aug. 27, in the 11600 block of Hawthorne Boulevard in Hawthorne, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

Ed Winter, spokesman for the coroner's office, said a property manager at a business building noticed an office light was on in the late evening. When manager went into the office, he found Taylor shot on the floor.

Authorities were called and Taylor was pronounced dead at the scene at 10:30 p.m.

Coroner's records show Taylor suffered gunshot wounds to the head, neck and right shoulder.

Winter said he had no other information about the case.
