A story for every victim

Sherry Ann Thomas, 49

Sherry Ann Thomas, a 49-year-old white woman, was found dead Saturday, July 18, in the 5200 block of Colodny Drive in Agoura Hills, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.

At 11:27 a.m., deputies from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department responded to a home to perform a welfare check, according to a news release.

When deputies entered the home, they found Thomas and a 57-year-old man with gunshot wounds. Thomas was pronounced dead at the scene at 11:51 a.m.

The man was identified as John Mann. His death was ruled a suicide, according to records from the coroner’s office. A gun was recovered at the scene.

Los Angeles sheriff’s Lt. Charles Calderaro said that the killing appears to be a murder-suicide. Calderaro said that Thomas and Mann were in an on-again-off-again dating relationship that “might have recently ended.”

Thomas owned Blush Boutique, with locations in Calabasas and Thousand Oaks, according to the Thousand Oaks Acorn, a local news publication.
