Son Pech, 45

Son Pech, a 45-year-old Asian man, died Wednesday, May 9, three days after he was assaulted near 10th Street and Gardenia Avenue in Long Beach, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

Pech, of Long Beach, got into a fight with a person later identified as Bunchan Plomma, on May 6, according to a Long Beach Police Department news release.

Coroner's records show Pech was thrown onto a sidewalk and then punched several times.

After the altercation, Pech went home to family members, but was found unresponsive the next morning.

Paramedics were called and Pech was taken to the hospital where he remained in critical condition until his death on May 9.

The day after he died, police arrested Plomma, 46, and he was held on $-million bail.
