Stephen Andrew Meller, 66

Stephen Andrew Meller, a 66-year-old white man, died Tuesday, Feb. 4, after he was shot in the 600 block of West 115th Street in Vermont Vista, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner's records.

Shortly before 9 p.m. on Jan. 29, Meller got into an argument outside a home with another man who shot him, said Los Angeles Police Det. Nathan Kouri. 

The other man fled, and Meller was found with gunshot wounds by another person, police said.

Meller was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead Feb. 4, according to coroner's records. 

Marcus Wilson, a 37-year-old black man, was charged March 4 with one count of murder with the allegation that he used a handgun, according to the Los Angeles County district attorney's office.
