Stephen Donelson, 30

Stephen Donelson, a 30-year-old black man, was shot and killed Friday, Sept. 29, in the 5900 block of West Boulevard in Hyde Park, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.

About 10:45 p.m., Donelson was standing in front of a marijuana dispensary when someone fired at him from inside a passing vehicle, said Los Angeles Police Det. Dave Garrido.

Donelson, a security guard employed by the dispensary, ran inside and collapsed, Garrido said.

Donelson was  pronounced dead at the scene at 11:10 p.m., according to coroner’s records.

Police said the shots came from a light-colored sedan, which was one of two cars that passed by the dispensary when the shooting started.
