Steven Leon Johnson, 21

Steven Johnson, a 21-year-old black man, died Saturday, June 23, a day after he was shot in the 6300 block of Brynhurst Avenue in Hyde Park, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

Police said the shooting took place about 11:35 p.m. Friday.

Johnson and Jovoni Thomas, a 27-year-old black man, were in front of a house when two men walked up and one opened fire, police said.

Thomas died at the scene; Johnson was taken to a hospital, where he died the next day.

No arrests have been made in the incident, police said.
