Sylvia Cho, 56

Sylvia Cho, a 56-year-old Asian woman, was shot and killed Thursday, Jan. 31, during an attempted robbery at the liquor store in the 11000 block of South Alameda Street, where she worked as a clerk, according to authorities. The store, Deli Mart Market, is located on the border of Lynwood and Watts.

Sheriff's officials said Cho was shot multiple times in the torso. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
