Terri Myles, a 33-year-old black woman, was found killed in Jesse Owens Park in the 9600 block of South Western Avenue in Gramercy Park on Nov. 8, 1993.
Michael Hughes was convicted of the murder of Myles and three other women in 1998. A decade later, a cold-hit DNA link tied him to four additional homicides.
Although local authorities gave Myles' age as 33, a state death index indicated she was 27 when she died.
