Thomas Levern Davenport, 47

Thomas Davenport, a 47-year-old black man, was stabbed to death Friday, Dec. 10, in the 2200 block of Carlton Avenue in Pomona, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

Authorities received a call about 10:25 p.m. regarding a person yelling and carrying a screwdriver, said Pomona Police Lt. Raul Rilloraza.

When officers arrived, they found Davenport on the ground. According to coroner's records, he had a single stab wound to the left side of his neck.

Paramedics were called and Davenport was taken to County-USC Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 11:40 p.m.

Rilloraza said investigators have identified the person involved in the incident, but he declined to provide any further information. At this time, no charges have been filed in connection with Davenport's death, he said.

Anyone with additional details about the stabbing is asked to contact Det. A. Bebon or M. Lange at (909) 620-2095.
