Thomas Eugene Pearson Jr., a 29-year-old black man, was shot and killed Monday, July 20 near South Leimert Boulevard and Sutro Avenue in Leimert Park, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.
Pearson was found on a bus bench with a gunshot wound to the head.
He was taken to a hospital where he died at 9:27 p.m., according to coroner’s records.
