Timothy Ervin White Jr., 32
Timothy White, a 32-year-old black man, was shot and killed Monday, July 28 in the 900 block of West 79th Street in Vermont Knolls, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records.
White was standing outside a home about 9:45 p.m. when he was approached by two black men, said LAPD Det. Sal LaBarbera. One of the men said “What’s up man,” and another man pulled out a gun and began shooting at White.
The two men got into a dark-colored sedan and drove east on West 79th Street toward Hoover Street, LaBarbera said.
White was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead at 10:43 p.m., according to coroner’s records.
