Tomas Palmas, 42

Tomas Palmas, a 42-year-old Latino, was shot and killed July 10 in the 1700 block of Cerritos Avenue in Long Beach, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records. 

The incident began on July 9, about 10:36 p.m., when Long Beach police responded to a call about a shooting. 

When officers arrived, they found Palmas lying on the street with gunshot wounds, according to a department news release.  

Palmas was taken to a local hospital and pronounced dead at 7:12 p.m. the next day, according to coroner’s records. 

Investigators said they have neither a motive nor suspects in the killing.
