Trevor Genel McCrainey, 22

Trevor McCrainey, a 22-year-old black man, was shot to death Tuesday, March 7, in the 200 block of Liberty Court in Long Beach, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records. 

About 4 p.m., Long Beach police were called about gunshots, according to a news release, and found McCrainey and a woman, both of whom had been wounded. McCrainey was pronounced dead at 4:19 p.m. at the scene, according to coroner’s records. 

The woman was taken to a hospital for treatmenet.

The motive for the shooting is under investigation, but detectives say they think it is linked to an incident of road-rage.
