Willy Rosoto-Reyes, 46
Willy Rosoto-Reyes, a 46-year-old Latino, was shot and killed Monday, Jan. 24, in the 1400 block of West 6th Street in Westlake, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.
[For the record: An earlier version of this post, based on preliminary information from the coroner's office, listed the victim as an unknown 30-year-old Latino.]
Rosoto-Reyes was shot about 5 a.m. His body was discovered by police when they got to the scene, according to LAPD officer Bruce Borihanh.
Rampart homicide Det. Jeff Cortina, who is handling the case, described the incident as a walk-up shooting.
The shooting is not believed to be gang-related, Cortina said.
